Over the last year, I have been named an External Profeesor of the Santa Fe Institute; of the Complexity Science Hub. I always enjoy supporting non-traditional research institutions, and look forward to continue my teaching and research in Santa Fe (which holds a special place in my heart) and I consider myself extremely lucky to count the great city of Vienna as my European home.

I also had the great pleasure of being awarded the 2026 Young Scientist Award for Socio- and Econophysics from the German Physical Society (DPG) and the 2026 Erdős–Rényi Prize by the Network Science Society for my “foundational contributions to the theory of contagion on complex networks…” The physics of social systems and the study of how things spread are the great puzzles of my life. It is an immense honour to be recognized by peers for my contributions to these problems.
